Joey and Rory

Sad news about Joey Feek:

In light of the news that Joey Feek has ceased treatments for her Stage IV cervical cancer, Joey + Rory have announced the cancellation of their November and December 2015 Farmhouse Concert dates.

The Feeks had Farmhouse Concerts — intimate shows at the concert hall on their Columbia, Tenn., farm — scheduled for Nov. 6 and 7 and Dec. 5, 12 and 19. However, all five concerts have been cancelled in light of the latest news about Joey Feek’s health.

“It is with great regret that we must cancel our November and December Joey + Rory Farmhouse Concert dates effective immediately due to Joey’s health,” a statement posted on the husband-and-wife duo’s website reads. “… Thank you for your understanding and prayers.”

I have been following this, initially as a fan, then sadly a short time back my sister was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Stage 4 is what Joey has, my sister, thankfully has stage 2 cancer.
Ask forgiveness, not permission.

Saw them 4 times in Nashville. Even tried to visit Joey's restaurant (Marcy's Diner) not knowing it shut on Mondays! I've been a fan of their music for a long time and this is sad news indeed.

Missed that! Maybe the mods can combine the two threads?

I saw them a couple of times in Nashville too, including one time when they appeared with Zac Brown. And then Rory stood with some friends behind us in the queue for The Timejumpers - nice, very humble guy!

Merged.
Country is a state of mind, not a state of America.
