HOLLY DUNN, a big country star of the 80's and early 90's, has died of ovarian cancer at the age of 59.
Her hits included "Love Somebody Like Me" and "Daddy's Hands".
In the Nineties she retired from the music industry to pursue a career in art, relocation from Nashville to New Mexico.
She had initially signed with Mary Tyler Moore's short lived but influential Nashville label, MTM records.
Holly Dunn, a Christian, said she drew great comfort from her faith and the love of her family.
Talking about the "bleak" medical diagnosis she had been given, Holly said that she'll be OK, " Either upright walking on this earth or safe in my Savior’s arms.”

Sorry to hear that - I used to like her music in the 90s. I remember this one from CMT Europe:
