Yes, I thought it was an interesting programme but was surprised that he missed Memphis out completely - wonder if he'll return there later in the series? Modern country music didn't come out well ..... he more or less wrote off everything from Nashville from the last 15 years!

Yes, primarily it was more the old country stuff. Bro' Country did not get a look in (thank goodness!)

Overlooking Memphis was odd, not only from the blues angle but also that it was so influential especially to fifties country & beyond.

Yeah I enjoyed it too and I'm looking forward to Hank in the next episode (Alabama and Georgia). The last programme is Mississippi and Louisiana so expect some more blues and a bit of Cajun maybe.

Again, an interesting programme but again he managed to avoid talking about country music more than as a passing reference.
