Ty Herndon, remember him, will be at Sound Control, Manchester on Friday 12th August 2016. Is this his only UK date? Support comes from Jess & The Bandits. Tickets are £10.00+fees etc. Pity I can't make this gig.

Saw him in Nashville a few years back. If his bland performance that day was anything to go by, I'm not surprised he's dropped off the scene!

I don't remember any of Ty Herndon's songs, but he sort of disappeared from the country music scene after he was arrested by an undercover cop who lured him into engaging in homosexual activity in a public facility. George Michael got a hit song "Outside" following his engagement in a similar activity. Ty Herndon was instead goaded by his team to make a public apology & say that he was seeking "therapy". In these more enlightened times, he has come out as openly gay. Brandy Clark is openly gay & it does not seem to have affected her career. She does not get played on country radio in the states, but no females do, so that is a separate issue.
Ty Herndon is playing at the Nashville Meets London free festival in Canary Warf in august.
So is Hannah Rose Platt, a new singer songwriter from Liverpool, who I will be more interested to see.
