Many years back I bought a CD by a young yodeling cowgirl; it wasn't a particularly good album and it's languished in the back of the cupboard for years. Now she's pretty famous ..... you might even say VERY famous. Who she? Kacey Musgraves.

I was speaking to Keith Greentree, who does the country programme on Radio Norfolk and who is something of a fan of hers, and mentioned that I had this CD. I dug it out and sent it to him, suggesting that he keep it, give it away, or use it as a coaster for his coffee cup! He featured a track from it on his show on Saturday morning, mentioning, as I'd said to him, that it isn't particularly rare.

Turns out I was wrong about the rarity status. Someone who was listening to the show contacted him and said that he had just sold a copy on Ebay for over £150!!!! 150 quid for a Kacey Musgraves CD??? Wow!! After he received that message he contacted me and is now sending it back to me!!

So, anyone want to bid on a Kacey Musgraves CD?????

it is a pretty poor album, regardless of her last two, her earlier stuff is pretty shocking.

"White Lightening" awful? Really? I think it's a great track! And can it be counted as 'early'? By the time that came out he'd already had a number of major hits with things like "Why Baby Why" and "Color of the Blues".

A lot of people think that Willie can't sing, & I sort of agree, but I still enjoy most of his music.
When it comes to duets, I was not a big Willie & Waylon fan, or a fan of his last album with the Hag.
But I really liked an lp he did with the Hag back in the Eighties "Yesterday's Wine".
I still have that on vinyl, but will have to see if I can find it on digital or CD. Come to think of it, it may even be on Prime

I've got the CD back now and plan to stick it up on eBay. I noticed there are a few scuffs on the playing side of the disc so I thought I better listen to it to make sure it plays OK. Sod me, that was a chore - I don't dislike her voice and I love a bit of cowboy yodelling music but this is god awful! £150? I don't think I'd pay 150 PENCE for it!!
