I haven't written for six shooter for some time, for personal reasons I couldn't focus on that, my sister had cancer so I didn't want any distractions. She has the all clear but I decided to no longer write for them.
Sam Outlaw I saw feature in a couple of end of year mentions and possibly Kev might have mentioned it. Kev is rarely wrong with recommendations similarly Smudger so listening it was an absolute joy that I continue to play. Beautiful album.

I first heard of Sam Outlaw when his 5 track EP came out in 2014 and was featured on Saving Country Music. SCM is probably the best place for hearing about new non-poppy country. The guy who runs it can be a bit of a ranter at times but he seems to know his stuff and have his ear to the ground about this type of thing.
